Admiral Adventures in Kindergarten! ⚓
Ms. Huddy and Ms. Lindhart’s classes transformed into detectives! Armed with magnifying glasses and notebooks, they went on a building-wide hunt for elusive Sneaky Es.
While the detectives were busy on the ground, Mr. White’s class spent the day in outer space, including coding LEGO robots to navigate the lunar surface. Great work teams!

New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Jarrett J. Krosoczka visited Dishman McGinnis and McNeill Elementary Schools today! His books include the graphic novel series, Lunch Lady, the Platypus Police Squad series, Punk Farm, and he also contributed to the Star Wars: Jedi Academy series.
At both schools, he shared his inspirations for writing and creating art through his life, such as the first book he wrote as a third grader. He talked to students about continuing to learn throughout life and not giving up. The time ended with questions from students and Krosoczka drawing a personalized “Lunch Lady” for each school.
A big THANKS to the Warren County Public Library for this great opportunity!

We are so proud of our 5th grade leaders, Harper Allen and Olivia Barahona, for creating a “Welcome to McNeill” video for new students and families interested in McNeill Elementary! In the video, they give viewers a virtual tour of the building and introduce many of the adults and students who make our school such a special place. What a wonderful way to show leadership and Admiral pride! 💙 To watch the video, please click here:

📖✨🍫 Something SWEET is happening with the "One School, One Book" project at McNeill Elementary!
For the past few weeks, students and families have been reading Patrick Skene Catling’s book, “The Chocolate Touch,” where everything John Midas touches turns into CHOCOLATE.
Celebrating the theme, the library has transformed into a candy chop, students are competing with daily trivia questions, and today, students were challenged to find 1,000 gold coins hidden throughout the building. The primary and intermediate classes that collect the most coins will see their collection transformed into chocolate!
Thanks to Ms. Hannah Ogden, Library Media Specialist for leading this project, and to the McNeill PTO and Stuff the Bus Foundation of SOKY for their generous support to make this fun project possible.
